Why can't we have a simple SMS functionality for Jolla ... it should show New Message , Received , Sent , Draft & Forwarding SMS , multiple selection to deleting sms , search functionality if multiple message are there etc... Jolla developers can you please confirm whether this can be implemented in next update

Draft already exists (a pen icon next to unsent text and the drafted text is saved periodically). You can copy+paste message to forward it. Do you want folders? No,no thank you!

I only agree with you about Sms Search. That would be useful! And possibly the feature to delete multiple messages at the same time. :)

Why always we are wanting to make UI more complicated ( See the Result of Windows :( . Everyone is not that tech savvy like us who are trying to suggest to make OS more better so that everyone can use it , think from consumer mind, no from your comfortable zone ( sorry to say)

I felt this , thats why i proposed and might be there are more who would be also like to have it. Why Symbian was more popular , I think you also agree on it , that was the beauty of OS.

*You can copy+paste message to forward it. Do you want folders? : On your input , below is my clarification.*

-1 You are first coypying it , opening a New message tab , finding the recipient no , pasting it & then sending --- why not just click forward , add recipient no & send

Now you see 3 steps has reduced ( Copy the original mssg , opening new Message tab , pasting it )

So based on above clarification , which one would you prefer to choose ? One on which you are comfortable or the second one in which all users are comfortable.

SMS search and delete multiple items are the only worthwhile features.

All other features would make it the next android, which we don't want.

Yep. Nobody need over-complification like drafts, copy&past and your done :)

None of those feature belong to android alone. It started with the symbian era when sms became popular

@ Mohit , I agree .. But it doesn't mean you are trying to differentiate SF with Android from the basic functionality of Handset. Would SMS be coming to an end ? if yes then what next ...

  • Call , SMS , Emails , contacts etc are basics of a Mobile. What makes SF more values proposed as you are using simple gestures , that's the differentiating factor b/w both both OS's. SF Vs ANDROID.

Search - functionality question was raised several times without any comment/reaction from Jolla. Global search functionality was really strong in Nokia N9, including SMS and e-mail and Notes and everything. Currently it's only done right in iOS. I can mention:
