Blackberry OS like gesture

BBOS can access Hub from app by swiping up and right from bottom edge of screen. Can SFOS have such gesture, e.g. left and down to lock screen, right and down to open shortcuts?

From a long time I think that BBOS gestures should be reviewed and those which are useful, especially those extending usability like those 2 proposed by fishegg above, could/ought/should be implemented. Especially now when BBOS is slowly disappearing in oblivion. In BBOS were widely used ideas from MeeGo so now this can be good for Sailfish usability development to examine one by one gestures and adopt those which are needed. It would be good if somebody with BBOS practise would point which are not in Sailfish and would be useful.

I added such suggestions long time ago (2-3 years ago). It was deemed as too complicated and never realized.

There are more threads, but I'm currently on my phone and it's hard to search on this constricted UI.
I really do think two-directional geatures are a great way to expand possible buttonless actions and I would really like to see this implemented.
