It would be nice to see what's new in the app. Partly to see what new features I should expect to find or what old bugs I should expect to be gone. This would also give the users a higher incentive to update.

I would prefer a obligated directive to use in the yaml file which would be used as %changelog in the rpm. and those entries should be shown in the store/harbour. though SILENT entries/lines should be hidden. (failing that, an extra field in the harbour submission)

This is somewhat similar to how we contribute in Mageia (i'm a Mageia contributor in the packaging team), (though we use automated commit logs for that).

Keep in mind that app devs should give description on app and/or changes anyway, this could also be enforced in the harbour automated rules.

After all, if nothing is in changelog, why would anyone need to update... this will also give trust towards the users for the app.
