Will the Factory Reset recreate the btrfs filesystem [answered]

I believe I have seriously hosed my btrfs filesystem (by turning it off during a balance operations). I could rescue most of my data, but now I have to reset the phone.

So my question is: Does the “Reset device to factory state” entry of the recovery system create a new btrfs file system from scratch? Or will it try to use the existing one in some way (which I fear may fail).

Try to check the files system from recovery mode.

Factory reset will erase all data in your phone and create two partitions again (one for system, another - user space).

Answer: yes, factory reset will recreate btrfs filesystem. All data will be lost.

Thanks, perfect. I was able to rsync all files (including the system) to my laptop before, and rsync them back afterwards. Works almost…
