I use the K-9 email client. If I use the Refresh button, it uses Android notifications to tell me which folder in turn it refreshes, as it always has.

But since a factory reset and the upgrade to 2.1, it also activates the vibration for each of these status notifications, which is very annoying.

Does anyone else observe this behavior? And how can I prevent it?

Maybe you want to remove the 'bug' tag, as its clearly not a bug but a configurable setting.

Maybe you want to disable the notifications when syncing in K9 and not for incoming messages. That should reduce the vibration to the important stuff.

Account Settings -> Notifications -> Sync notifications

Thanks, that is indeed well hidden.

You could follow the steps in this thread and just remove the two lines for K-9 Mail, but you'll have to do that again every time you update the OS. Alternatively you could just disable those notifications in K-9 Mail.

Thanks. I could not find a way to disable them in K-9.

However this removes all notifications from K9, right? Not only the ones during sync, but also those for new messages.

Correct. Fine with me, though, less distraction :-)
