[Feature Request] Tap to access top four while tasks running

With no tasks running, a single tap brings up the first four menu items, however when there are tasks running the single tap doesn't seem to work even when it is on an unoccupied part of the screen, and I have to then swipe up, which pops up all the applications.

It's an inconsistency which is slightly annoying.

check out quickbar app from harbor store; does what you want and gives access to mru/fav/mostly used apps both on homescreen as well as lockscreen

And for for a person having small fingers he she can use it as an easy access mode rather then accessing the same options on top of the scree which feels uneasy

Made a patch for this a while ago: https://openrepos.net/content/cornerman/patch-switcher-click-hints-launcher

Hope it helps!

The Patch by cornerman does exactly what you (and myself, too) want (actually it needs / does more than I expected in this regard, see its changelog for v0.3), and how it should have been be implemented (IMO) in the first place.

This way the first line of the launcher grid (four items in portrait, seven in landscape orientation) acts as a quick start menu (consistently), which is very handy.
