Often, I need to reboot the phone (I'm in a poor reception office) ... and I need to reboot far, far, far more often than I need to shut down. - Sailfish 2

Can there be a reboot icon alongside the power icon please, so I can choose to reboot, rather than just shut down, as I then have to wait for the phone to switch off, and then turn it back on again.

enable developer mode, go to the developer-tools in the settings menu and enable the reboot option (found at the bottom of the settings page)

Whaaaat? "Developer tools" ?!?! They couldn't have put it in a more "user" friendly place like Display, Lock Screen, or something?

Thanks for the heads up.

who need normally reboot on a well working device?
I think that's why it is available in dev-mode, because there the system may be deeper analysed, and the function is then even more needed. (just speculation)...

;-) Whaaaat? You don't like developer tools?!?! Ooooh, how ungrateful user you are!... How about to remember: 2 lines of PKs, comas, colons, semikolons, parameters, counterparameters which after entering must be confirmed by vocal password "abracadabra" spoken backwards in reverse mode with voice of early fresh Darth Vader? ;-)

Please note & appreciate: a solution exists, while in some other OSes you would not be even answered at all I suppose. ;-)

To be precise, the reboot option is located in Settings > Developer mode but using it does not require the developer mode to be enabled. This option could be in some other settings page but there is none directly related to device restart. Developer mode page is not a logical location, either.
