Using high impedance headphones means I've got to drive the volume higher, and I just keep hitting the audio level warning time, after time. It is driving me mad.

I believe two things need to happen...

1) We need a developer option to turn it off.

2) Jolla needs to examine going to the EU Commission responsible for this rule and tell them that arbitrary limits are useless if the impedance of headphones is not known by the device, and that headphone output is used to drive devices other than headphones. It is a nonsense legislation that doesn't even apply to professional equipment like hi-fi amplifiers or any other amplifier with an analogue dial. Why should mobile phones suffer this restriction?

Thanks for the patch. It'll be very handy until Jolla address this permanently.

thanks for making all the feature requests , guys at jolla are lazy i think , you have to enable developer mode and install patches but patches are not the answer for everything.

Option 1.) is a good idea, option 2.) would be a hopeless quest... :)

I am for just showing the warning once and you need to see it once. But once you read and accepted it going higher it should not nag anymore.

Well, this is a duplicate of your own post: https://together.jolla.com/question/676/suggestion-setting-to-turn-off-sound-level-warning/

I agree the warning and legislation behind it is just stupid beyond belief, but I also doubt Jolla, with some 50 employees around the world, has any power at all when it comes to lobbying legislative bodies. That said, going by Penguin's answer to the post, it seems there is legally no need to show the warning every time, and other mobile devices just show an option "Don't bother me again", so why Jolla hasn't made this option yet beats me.

Yes, it's a duplicate of my own question. It still hasn't happened, though.

Sure, but having more posts open about it won't solve it any faster. I don't know who reopened the question, but the idea behind closing duplicates is to make it easier to keep track of open issues.

Won't get it solved any slower either. The other one was so old, no one seems to have looked at it, until people deliberately search for them.

I think I'll drop Jolla support an e-mail next week, and ask what they're doing with the comments and suggestions left on here.

Please stop reopening this duplicate thread, whoever is doing it. This site is not a bugtracker but at least we can attempt to follow the common courtesy of one.

No. it may be a duplicate, but the original is not addressed. Please stop closing a relavent question that is still unanswered.
