I wonder how llijoki would work on the Turing Phone. Are there certain drawbacks, things that would not work anymore but that worked before, things that chaged or even improved?

Is there someone who could give an advice to avoid a manual update or recommend it by experience?

I'm hesitating to try a manual update. (still running 2.0.4.14, since 2.0.5.6 prevented successfull pairing with my car over BT)

Yes, I have it installed and it works well. Manual update is the only way to do it I'm afraid.

There are still a number of bugs with 2.1.0.11 for the Turing phone:

  1. If you use internet tethering, even after you switch it off, the battery drains crazy quick (even though there is no cpu usage) and the device gets super hot. Only fix is a reboot after everytime using it.
  2. Bluetooth is still missing most profiles. Also I can pair with my car stereo, but it have to switch bluetooth off and back on again after each call else the other caller cannot hear me. Seems like the process gets stuck somewhere. Phonebook still doesn't sync.

Otherwise it is a very worthwhile update with major improvements to battery, fingerprint reader and overall general performance (web browser etc).
