side swipe to app screen regression from 2.1.0.11 [duplicate]

jolla and jollac used to have a nice side swipe to runnin apps grid which is now horrible in 2.1.0.11 release. One handed use is for me impossible and a lot of patience is needed to slow the swipe enough that it works. I hope this gets fixed at some point but has anyone found a workaround which switches to old swipe algorithm, or implementation?
When the swipe fails now, I'm triggering other random actions in the apps...
