Using QLowEnergyController?

Hello all,

I would like to develop an application which would communicate with a BLE device. I have heard that the latest Iljoki update included update to Qt 5.6 which should support the BLE.

I have created an app, but the compilation failed by not finding the QLowEnergyController header.

  • The MerSDK maintainance tool says my environment up to date
  • qt5-qtconnectivity-devel package is installed on my target
  • QT += bluetooth is added to the .pro file

Any help would be deeply appericiated!

Sailfish OS 2.1.0 included a developer preview of Bluez5 you have to install it manually on the device. The release should be included in the following updates.

Well my current problem lives at the compilation stage where the packages/contents of the SDK VM in the game. I have not got to the deployment process yet.

That's all I know about it. I develop mostly in Python and QML on SailfishOS so I can't help you further. I'm sorry.

Thanks anyway, compiled stuff are a bit different, these kind of problems revealed before the actual deployment :).

I think because Bluez5 is not rolled out they have not boundled it to the production SDK.
