Need more control over ambience colors

Currently when making your own ambience manually rather than making one automatically from a picture, you can set highlight color, secondary highlight color, primary color and secondary color by yourself. Then there are those colors that are still automatically generated based on previously mentioned highlight colors: highlight background color and highlight dimmer color. I don't always like how these colors are generated and would like to be able to set them myself.

These colors' saturation seem to be maxed out and this works very badly with paler wallpapers. Pulley menus, which use the highlight background color for their background, create quite horrible looking contrast with the wallpaper if it isn't also brightcolored. Because of this I have refrained from using nice paler pictures as wallpapers on my phone.

I hope these colors could be made at least possible to be defined by the ambience creator. Better than that would be to be able to edit these two as well as the other ambience colors within the system rather than just the hue of the color theme.

Please don't expect any further development with ambience, unless Jolla decides to open source it. I aimed a question a Jaako Roppola regarding any development with ambience, I asked this 2 years ago as part of an answer given by him which was 2 years old as well, no response from Jaako and no changes to ambience in 4 years!

Any chance to make ambience colors better?? Yes, it is an old request, but this problem is not fixed until today. My minimum request is, please allow bright white font color for higher contrast. Should be possible.

Thanks.

I imagine if HQ answered this question, it'd be something like, "we are thinking about it" which in the real world translates to "no, it isn't going to happen". It is because of ambience that white text is not implemented.

When I got my first Jolla 5 years ago, one of the first things I did was look for a black and white theme, only to find there wasn't one, so I made it, but it is far from perfect and if the user decides to change the colour in settings, then white can no longer be chosen again, instead the user has to reinstall my ambience.

From what I can see, the entire idea of ambience and its associated TOH covers are dead, finished, burned, kaput, finito, done. It is my contention that no more will be done for ambience, especially when there is so much more to finish and polish with SFOS.

On a different note, please try and refrain from using answer boxes for comments/questions, instead use comments box for such things.

Change Ambience color to anything you want using dconf command. See @ssahla 's updated answer here- https://together.jolla.com/question/11949/black-and-white-ambiences/ You can use ShellEx app to make a one-click method, so you don't have to type the commands every time.

Thanks for hints. I'll give it a try.
