Is there any way to use facebook messenger in sailfish natively? Plugin provided by @nodevel is not working.

Thanks in advance

Hey @DC . The reason for my wrapper not working is that the upstream plugin dropped support for the method we used on Sailfish long time ago - therefore we cannot update it to a newer version, but the old version became obsolete after some Facebook's changes.

If you want the support to return to upstream, so we can make the wrapper work again, please vote (or even comment) in support of this issue that is blocking it.

Afaik this plugin does works with spectrum2, so you could always use XMPP transport. You do need a PC for this though, but I use one for some old IM protocol and it works just fine with Jolla's built-in messages app, since there is no reason why it wouldn't.

I don't know if it's still working but this is the only option for Messenger on Sailfish

As per my knowledge it is not working. I also checked the openrepos page, many have mentioned the non functioning of the plugin apart from me.
