I saw this (https://together.jolla.com/question/1729/compile-and-add-libpurple-to-jolla-repositories/) but its not that what I wanted to ask

is it possible to get Pidgin ported to SailfishOS? I remember the days of my N800 I power used Pidgin on it and mostly i like the OTR feature. Since its not Possible to get OTR to Sailfish dune to the bug in telepathy-otrg (See here https://together.jolla.com/question/1866/otr-in-xmpp-chat/) So Pidgin would be a workaround :D

Dont tell me to use Android Apps! I prefer Native!

why would you want an additional program when you have unified messaging? What you are saying that because of a bug in otr you do not want that bug fixed but have someone port an app and devel an UI for sailfish? I won't downvote but I chose jolla to circumvent this whole one app per task thing.

You are defentlie right!!!! To integarte is much better but It looks like there is no one how whant to fix it there is all ready a Community trophy money (675US$ plus 0,20BTC) . No fix! (http://freedomsponsors.org/core/issue/333/telepathy-should-support-otr-encryption)

Where does Pidgin get its OTR support from? Is it this libpurple plugin? http://sourceforge.net/p/otr/pidgin-otr/ci/master/tree/

Then we're back to compiling libpurple plugins for Telepathy-Haze... What's the point of Pidgin, then? :)
