Jamsanjoki 2.1.1.23 on Jolla1

As per the title; the 'Sailfish OS Updates' shortcut in Settings, highlights when touched but does not open the updates UI.

Rebooting the device doesn't make any difference.

Anyone else?

Could you be more specific about which shortcut you are talking about?

Thanks @Alex; done.

For me it's working fine - try to restart your device.

I've already restarted several times for various reasons, the shortcut still doesn't respond.

Did you update on the official way via the settings?

Which device are you using?

Do you have developer mode activated?

Ok I found the cause: Disable the Patchmanager Patch 'Unapply all patches on upgrade' and restart your settings and it will work again. :)

Update:

The following Patchmanager 2.0 version fixes this issue: patchmanager-2.3.3-10.41.1

Indeed, it does seem to be the problem, I also have a problem with patchmanager where by when I select to 'restart preloaded services', nothing happens, lipstick doesn't refresh, so I do it manually. I have already commented to @coderus about the problem.

no time for making a solution. can you make a pr for patchmanager github please? :)

coderus ( 2017-07-28 16:02:34 +0300 )edit

@coderus, I personally have no idea how to pr (I assume that means 'pull request') patchmanager for github, maybe @Alex knows how.

Also, uninstalling patch from patchmanager UI is not successful either, it looks like it is deleting but stays even after closing and opening pm again, maybe by the 5th attempt, it uninstalls - this is across all 3 of my Jolla1's updated to jamsanjoki.

I tried uninstalling this patch from Patchmanager 3.0 (for some reason, I had a bunch of old patches I couldn't remove with previous Patchmanager versions), then with pkcon remove sailfishos-unapply-all-patches, then pkcon install jolla-settings jolla-settings-sailfishos, then restarting Lipstick and all applications, but no luck. Same after a reboot. I currently have no patch applied, but I still can't open Sailfish updates in the Settings application, nor can I open Backups. Any ideas?
