How to add unicode characters in pootle translation? [answered]
Hi,
I want to add a soft hyphen ("\u00AD") to the german translation of "Connect to Internet" (settings_quickaction-la-connect_to_internet) in lipstick-jolla-home-qt5.
Unfortunately, when I insert this unicode character into the text, after saving the change, the backslash is escaped, which results to \u00AD.
Is there any way to use a soft hyphen in translations?
Background:
The translation of "Connect to Internet" is "Internetverbindung herstellen", which breaks in events view without a hyphen, which looks really poor. I don't want to just add a fixed hyphen (and line-break) into the translation, because on other screen resolutions/font size/UI layout, the text may not be wrapped...
thanks, seems to work - let's see if it works in the next update :D when you convert your comment into an answer, I can mark this as the correct answer :)
