Pls could someone to help what to do. My problems started with updating to 2.1.1.23. I had to start factory reset from brick phone with help of Pc (given instructions).

There might be a shorter way, but here is one that works: Enable developer mode and get remote access, then from a terminal, type the following:

devel-su

ssu re 2.0.2.51

version --dup

At the end of the process you have to reboot the device, do the same for releases 2.0.4.14, 2.1.0.11, 2.1.1.23, then you can do 2.1.1.24 from the settings menu.

Ok. But my Jolla C had problems with Jolla Store. So I couldn't load Developer mode. Then my Jolla C overheated and closed. And now I can not open it anymore. Only Sailfish logo is staying in display. Thus what I can do is to say "Shit!". Thus second time this after 2.1.1.23. This is not promising anything good. Pls Jolla provide us high quantities new Sony Xperia X SFOS phones to buy.

Dear jovirkku. Thank you for your help. 2.1.1.24 is now loading (abt 20% at the moment). :) :) :)

from this point (2.0.2.43) I was able to get to 2.1.0.11 and then to 2.1.1.23. Directly to 2.1.1.23 failed (JollaC) by ssu/version. Of course I will not update to 2.1.1.24 - I do not need this installation loop again by now ;-)

@N9Sailfish: there is a known issue in updating Jolla C from 2.0.2 to the latest. Please try the following treatment:

  1. If your JollaC is stuck at Jolla logo then you should reset it to factory settings in Recovery Mode first, like instructed here: https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000663928-Jolla-C-How-to-use-Recovery-Mode
  2. Once factory setting is done, detach the battery+cable, attach battery, restart the phone. Run start up. If you want to install apps during it, let this get complete before you proceed to updating the OS. Enable the Developer Mode, too.
  3. Update OS first to an intermediate release:
    devel-su
    ssu re 2.0.5.6
    version --dup
    reboot

  4. Visit menu page Settings > Sailfish OS Updates. You should see 2.1.1.24 available now. Download and install. Best of luck!

And for people having an Aqua Fish that they wish to turn into a "Jolla C" by coderus' script, can anyone recommend the best intermediate release that does have as little conflicts as possible? Going with the 2.0.something that AF shipped with, I ended up losing the background images for a while (fixed by the next upgrade).
