I may be wrong, but I thought that the padlock on the ambience switcher screen previously 'locked' the device (requiring a code to unlock).
In version 2.1.1.24 it seems to just put the display to sleep like the power button does.
Please confirm if this is new buggy behaviour, or if this is intended by design?
My device is Jolla 1. My automatic locking time is set to 5 minutes.

If you expect the phone to be locked before the automatic time of 5 minutes has elapsed, then you won't be asked for lock code upon waking the device.
Set the lock code to 'No delay' and lock the device from ambience switcher then wake it back up, you are now a swipe away from being asked for your lock code.
Otherwise, with your current settings, you need to wait just a tad over 5 minutes and then upon waking your device you should be asked for your lock code.

I have Jolla 1 in 2.1.0.11 configuration and it seems to behave similarily as my JollaC in 2.1.1.24 configuration. The ambiance padlock requires 5 minutes time before it requires a lock code.

This padlock only ever 'locked' the screen (ie, turned it off). The device will be locked whenever the timeout for automatic locking (in Settings -> Device lock) is reached, or if you double press the power button while the screen is turned on.
Not a bug, but the lock icon could probably receive an update to make it clear it only turns off the screen.

I thought I remembered that the padlock used to actually lock instantly regardless of the 'automatic locking' time setting?
It's surprising if I have misremembered something like that! Or, alternatively I could have just assumed the padlock 'locked' it instantly all this time.
I don't have any device on older versions of the OS, can you (or anyone else) please check 2.1.0.11 to see if the padlock instantly locks and requires the code?
