BackUp is asking for sdcard __or__ cloud account, if no sdcard in place.

It would be great to have opportunity for Cloud account as type of WebDAV, (generic WebDAVs?), not only pre-defined for Dropbox and Onedrive.

By this BackUp should offer to select cloud via WebDAV as destination - even if sdcard is in place.

Could also be useful if sdcard appear as corrupted, or low on space.

This would be very good. AFAIK dropbox API changed and dropbox backup may stop working if dropbox integration is not updated by Jolla. But as Jolla aims to respect privacy and support alternatives to the big companies, I'd love to see integration of owncloud/nextcloud for backup.

This is something i asked myself when doing my first upgrade on my Jolla C: why the heck is there no simple and plain webdav support which i can use to backup my system before doing this upgrade. I surely wont upload to dropbox....

As a work around, that I've not yet tried.

There is a davfs package on openrepos https://openrepos.net/content/nieldk/davfs2

Then mount your owncloud/nextcloud etc then place an appropriate symlink from the sdcard to the mount, you may get it to work.

Again I haven't tried, the package on openrepos is old so may not work anymore. I may try it in the near future.
