Anyone else has this problem...
Steps to reproduce Go to Settings, Sounds and Feedback Select an ringtone Select from music files Try to select MP3 file Expected behavior
List of MP3 files
Actual behavior
List of MP3 files is empty while other apps (Media, ...) see them though.

Problem solved !
How i have fix it:
1: devel-su 1: zypper install gdb 2: zypper install tracker-debuginfo
Then run : gdb /usr/libexec/tracker-extract as nemo when gdb runs type start, then it start debug the tracker and you can see where it crash, with my problem it was a corrupt mp3 file.
When gdb stops type continue
I hope this helps for other people.
Hey, I am unable to assign an mp3 file to an ambience. No mp3 shown at all. All my mp3 files are stored on SD card. Tried tracker reset -r and reboot, without success. Being a rather "ordinary" user, I did NOT try tracker-debug. At least assigning a song as alarm or ringtone used to work in previous version of SF OS - although it was not remembered after reboot. As of now, running 2.1.1.26 as late adaptor I can use predefined sounds only.

bash: zypper: command not found
Tried to run gdb directly, no success, command not found. BTW, Jolla MediaPlayer shows almost all of my songs (1430) from SD card, but play time 0 = zero. QuasarMX player shows 1462 titles, albums and all that as usual. So IMHO Jolla MediaPlayer is somehow connected. Reset of media database (via tools) not helpful, neither did a reboot of the device. Not critical, as I use QuasarMX, but maybe this info helps.
As Maus says: This is a bug, sry.
Any ideas?

No problem here. I can see all my mp3's.

So looks my Music Folder on the MicroSD-Card (Ext4 formatted)
