Is it worth to buy the Aqua Fish? Is going to go on sale a new Jolla phone (Jolla only) coming soon?

I live in Spain and on eBay I only find Aqua Fish (for 190 euros minimum). Is it worth buying?

How can I get a Jolla phone?

Jolla phone: no longer made. Out of date and aged hardware even when new - no spare parts available and pattern part batteries only.

AquaFish - Made in India by Intex, if the device fails or needs repair, you will need to send it back to India. Spares are available - in India, the one spares supplier I found will not ship to europe/uk/ROW.

Up and coming (in a few months time) - the Sony Xperia X with SailfishOS - better hardware than either of the above. One thing I've noticed in the spec, is the battery is not user replaceable/removable.

If I were you, I'd wait for the Xperia X, but then, I'm quite happy with my Jolla.

You will have to buy an xperia x, buy the software from jolla and then install it yourself. A bit of a hassle but you get a much much nicer phone than the Aqua Fish.

Search for Xperia x here.

You Have to buy IT yourself, buy the Image etc.

For 50/80 bucks an Aquafish is fine. For 170 not

Yes its a great device for the price.

Also a lot of bugs have been ironed out in the hardware integration. Thr new Somy Xperia X phone/ Sailfish X, might have to go through a couple iterations before becoming fully usable.

xperiax's are pretty cheap used on ebay, you might as well buy used as in my book there's absolutely no point buying new as you're going to be flashing an image to it thereby wrecking any warranty you may have had, a decent second hand phone and the cost of the OS could still be less than half of what the original J1 cost, and to my mind that's worth a punt...... . . . . . . . .

Jolla is a software company since the hardware group is brought into another company (and never heard of again). Available devices can be found in this question

And you can expect a couple of second hand devices offered at tjc when the xperia x is finalized....
