When taking a photo with the Camera app, it should be possible to swipe left to see previous photos. When starting Camera from the launcher this works - but not when starting it from the new lockscreen shortcut.

For anyone not satisfied with the answer "it's a feature" and who wants full camera functionality from the lock screen - including the ability to view previously taken photos: add the camera to one of the shortcuts in the lock screen pulley meny (Settings > Lock Screen). The camera app does not suffer from the aforementioned "feature" when opened that way.
Or use Quickbar app (which gives you the MRU / MCU / FAVs as well ;)

The phone is still considered locked as I understand it.
I call BS. The feature could easily allow for the camera to see the taken pictures only.

As it stands now, you have this cool feature, which allows you to take pictures with locked phone, but to see the picture, you actually have to unlock it. Inconvenient.

I don't consider it a "feature" not to be able to verify that the photo I have just taken is how I intended it to be - especially not with Jolla's notoriously subpar camera hardware. If this is really the intended behaviour of this shortcut, I don't expect to use it much.

coderus ( 2017-09-08 12:09:08 +0300 )editI agree it shouldn't show all the photos in gallery, but it might be useful if it showed only those photos that the user takes through the shortcut during that instance. Now we are practically shooting blind when using the shortcut :)
