[feature request] Timed turning on of display when message received draining battery

Hello! On a "bad" night I receive >100 sms messages from a monitoring system - on peak times one per 30sec. and after leaving the phone with ~70% battery - it has gone down to ~20% during those nights.
On comparison a night with only 10 sms - the battery will go down only about 10-15%.
I understand that the reception of messages take juice but I suspect that even more juice is drained by constant turning on and off of display?
Could the dev team implement a settable timer so that after receiving a message, the device would wait X time before turning on the display - so that eg. ten messages arriving during that timeperiod would light up the display only once instead of ten times like it does now => would result in a big battery savings for me
HiFi version would have two time settings - one for busy hours and one for not-so-busy :)
Something like "Quiet Hours" from Windows Phone would be great, so you could silence notifications completely (including displaying them on screen and turning it on of course) when you're busy.

Plug it into the wall like any other normal user would do.
