with my new contract, my Aquafish does not send sms anymore. The get stuck in ...sending Also I can't find the provider's sms routing number in settings! Where could this be hidden? (it looks like a phone number) Under mobile network I find only data access point, MMS access point, Network mode using sailfish OS 2.1.1.24

eeh?? huh?? I installed [https://openrepos.net/content/slava/ofono-logger] , fired it up, tried to send a SMS, and now my SMS sending works again. No change done no error found, just installed ofono-logger.

As you can read in description of ofono-logger "It can also solve certain connectivity problems"

Uninstall it and try to send SMS again.

If it will be ok close the topic and mark as solved

did uninstall, restart, tested SMS: It still works. A beer goes to @coderus

ooh, @slava of course. a search on openrepos shows a coderus_ofono result from 2016, that's why. Many thanks to you, too, by the way.

thank you! I knew it was hidden somewhere. However it does not help... the number is correct and still my SMS are stuck in sending ...

did you try to reboot your phone after applying changes?

yes I did, it would still hang on send. The new SIMcard works fine on Android. The old SIMcard worked fine on SailfishOS, but the new one does not (yet) send SMS on SailfishOS.

after updating to 2.1.2.3, my SMS problem persists, however I get a nice icon with message 'problem with sending message'. Which is not very helpful.
