Phone hanging while updating to 2.1.2 [answered]

Sailfish OS notified me of the 2.1.2. After downloading the update (and with the phone plugged to a power socket), I started the update.

The 'Sailfish OS' logo appeared with the progress bar, but the update did not start (no progress at all on the progress bar).

What should I do? (I haven't yet forced-stopped the phone in case rebooting it would put the OS in a corrupt state)

I have the same problem with JollaC. Update is downloaded but selecting to install it causes a black screen with nothing on it and back light is on. First I thought update was complete and removed battery and continued using but then update notification started coming up and I saw from command line that update was never applied. Since then I have removed battery and rebooted several times but update is not progressing.

wait for an 1 hour if nothing happened try to reboot.

if phone won't reboot, remove battery, insert battery and try to turn phone on.

A hard reboot and a second update attempt fixed the issue. Thanks!

I tried a hard reboot (soft reboot failed to work) and now it just sits on the Jolla logo splash screen. Is there anything I can do, I worry that I've corrupted the OS now.

Update: It's now in a boot loop. I think I've ended up in this situation before and I had to send it to Jolla to fix.
