The clock/timer app precision for timers should be the second. It is not enough to be able to set the hours and minutes.

BUMP [@ScumCoder, Oct 2015]: guys, it's been almost two years. I really need seconds in my timer. AFAIK Jolla is the only phone which does not allow something as basic as that.

Minutes and seconds would be enough for me. I can't think of a use case, where you need hours for the timer. I like to set a time for eggs and tea, not a space shuttle launch ;)

Hours are certainly useful, eg "the roast is ready in 1.5 hours" or "remember to pickup laundry".

I was surprised that there were no seconds in the timer. It is needed

What about 90 minutes for the roast or a alarm for the laundry?

Just quarter minutes would be an enhancement for me...

If it's not possible to have hours, minutes and seconds for a countdown, I'd suggest to chose only minutes and seconds for it.

My expectation would be to have a countdown with smaller, but more precise time periods. For everything beyond an hour the alarm clock is sufficient.

I can't imagine a use case, which includes time greater than an hour and needs to be on the second.

Advising to install a 3rd party software in order to have a proper stopwatch is the same as advising to install a diesel generator on the balcony of my apartment to have proper mains supply.

@ScumCoder what are you talking about? do you want jolla to provide you with all the apps you need? It is just a f..ing stopwatch, not rocket science o_O If 3rd party is better then just use it

What's wrong with the provided stopwatch?
