SailfishX Android version not recognised by Google Play

Just installed SailfishX, and Google Play. Wanted to install Garmin Smartphone Link, but Google Play says the Android version does not meet the requirements. The requirements state Android 4.4, which is exactly what was specified for SailfishX. Any ideas?

same thing happens for me with Suunto Movescount and Nettiauto (which requires 4.0.3). My guess is, that those apps query for specific cabability, instead of just version number, and that check is somehow not working.

Hi. What procedure did you use to install the Google Play on Sailfish X ?

Thanks. I will.

I was trying to install Sound Blaster Interconnect which requires Android 4.0.3 but can't install because the device isn't compatible. Too bad Google doesn't tell you what's the reason for incompatibility.

Just out of interest I ran the hardware analysis in Kinemaster (video editing) and it came back as detecting android 4.4.4 (KM 4.2.0.9810.GP)

you need to use an older version of play store (and stop auto update) as the newer version doesn't allow uncertified devices anymore.

All right, I'll try to find a version from first half 2017, as it seems problems arose after 1 July.
