Just installed Sailfish X !

No problems, smooth UI, etc. I was just annoyed by 2 things :

  • No maps
  • Can't download my other halfs themes :-(

So. Backup on SD : done. Restore from SD : done.

Everything's fine.

I take my micro-SIM card, cut it to have a nano-SIM... Insert and... Nothing. SIM card is undetected.

journalctl -f only reports :

kernel: mmc1: slot status change detected (1 -> 0), GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH
kernel: mmc1: slot status change detected (0 -> 1), GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH

I don't have a phone anymore.... :-( Did someone may have any idea on how I can make it work or debug ?

Edit: Work around found : boot with SIM card inserted work, I just can't insert a SIM while phone is up.

It is possible that cutting the SIM to nano size might have destroyed it. If you want a way to test what is the issue buy a prepaid mobile subscription with nano SIM card. If the phone detects and works with it then the issue is with the cut SIM card.

No, it was precut. I was even abel to change it as a mini SIM and it still worked on my Jolla 1 after that !

I send a ticket via zendesk, they ask me to try to boot my phone with SIM inserted and it worked ! As dumb as that... Annoying, but I can deal with it.

I had the same problem. Reboot with SIM card in the phone, fixed it!

Does systemctl restart ofono.service (as root, so after devel-su) also work ? On Jolla, that did the trick when the SIM card wasn't detected.
