Hi, as the title says, I've noticed that whatsapp seems to have problems accessing the contacts of the phone. I checked the permissions, reinstalled whatsapp and android support, and nothing changed.

Anybody got the same problem.? Any idea?

Thanks!

btw, AWESOME SFOS ON XPERIA!!!

Hi, yesterday evening I had the same problem, but I solved it:

Settings --> Contacts --> Flag "Show all contacts"

it's a way to update the list, maybe @michfu is right and you've only to wait to obtain the same result

Are using Exchange Active Sync to sync your Contacts?

I am using exchange to sync contacts. For me, enabling/disabling the option "show all contacts" does not change anything. The option to allow android support to access contact is enabled.

Hey folks,

that above described triggering of adding the tick to all contacts wouldn't have any effect in case you are using exchange connector for contacts to sync. In other words - tested this and can replicate behavior - if you enable exchange sync e.g. for Microsoft online account yozr contacts will not show in What's App. When you use CardDav as sync framework you are absolutely ok. When you add contacs manually you are ok. When you go for Vcf import you are ok. All that seems to be fine.

I am at least ok now with CardDav for contact sync, mails and calendar can continue to sync via exchange connector.

@Jolla: whatever exchange sync does for contacts, it is not compatible with Whats App
