Waze 4.29 and 4.30 crash with a black screen when connected to Spotify

Versions of Waze from 4.29 on crash with a black screen when trying to establish connection with Spotify. Versions 4.28 and earlier run fine. I will try to reproduce the issue in Android but I believe that if it was there somebody would have filed a bug report for that. Disabling the spotify connection everything runs fine. I will look for a better solution.
Just to confirm that I don't have that issue with my Android 7 device.
