Hello everyone,

I'm kind of an average user with some knowledge on console. Yesterday I tried to install Sailfish X and it was not possible because I dont have veryfied by visa CC but this is not the point right now.

I managed to install the Xperia x driver already. My phone is on required version number. Oem unlock and usb debug is allowed already

When I understood it correct I dont need emma tool since Im already on that version. When I also understood it correct I can use fastboot.exe file from sailfish x zip file, so no android sdk is needed? The problem is that one guide tells me to use some installer and the command line tools do not have an installer anymore. I also do not have the directory stated on that unlock bootloader page from sony. I read somewhere that this step is not needed since jollas fastboot file does the job for me (regarding the unlock process)

Could please someone confirm it?

My next step would be unlock the bootloader and then flash sailfish x of course after purchasing and extract in one folder with the android 6.0.1 files. Is there anything I forgot?

Thanks for some help

If you installed the fastboot driver successfully, connect the phone in fastboot mode (volume up while connecting USB with the phone switched off, the notification LED should light up blue), run the first fastboot command listed in the unlocking instructions to see if the phone has been detected, and if it has run the second fastboot command which will unlock your phone. At least that's all I had to do.
