Setup

  • Raspberry Pi 3
    • Debian Yunohost
      • Nextcloud
        • Calendar plugin
  • Desktop
    • Arch Linux
      • Thunderbird (+ Calendar built-in)
  • JollaC
    • CalDav and CardDAV account
      • Server: https://[domain.tld]/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/
    • Calendar

Like the title says, when I add birthdays or contacts on my desktop or web app, they sync all around. For some reason, the Personal Calendar on my phone is seen as it's own local calendar. Adding events on the phone does not effect the server or desktop or vice versa.

Adding a new calendar does not show up unless I recreate the DAV account in settings. But it still does not show up in the JollaC Calendar. But from one of the replis below, I understand that no new calendars should work. Only Personal and Birthdays.

Sorry, I don't fully understand your issue. Indeed, currently, there is no way in the UI to detect a new calendar added to server. Indeed, the simpliest solution is to recreate the account.

After recreation, are you saying that the calendar is not shown in the calendar app? If so, can you be more specific, like giving the server type and settings…

This looks like you're syncing CardDAV only (which is where the birthdays come from), with CalDAV not being detected. One solution would be another account that is CalDAV only with the correct address of the calendar.

I'm also experiencing sync problem with a Nextcloud on Yunohost, but I think it is because of the SSO mechanism implemented in Yunohost. If your Yunohost is reacheable through your WLAN is the sync better than from the Internet ?
