As requested by sledges on the last IRC meeting at 18. October 2017 I'm opening this reminder for promoting finished translations (old one is here).

The list for (almost) done translations is from official translation tool. It seems that there are Hungarian, Greek, Estonian and Dutch already at 100 % despite frontage mentioning 99 %. Similar for Czech as it shows one untranslated sentence but details show it translated. Slovenian is also already fully translated and it only lacks a review of 24 words till 100%.

Hi @dglent.

I use manual method for now. Browsing TJC regulary. I also follow current [Official announcement] L10n strings for X.X.X. I guess also translate tag in Subscribed tags would work for more automate solution but I didn't try that until just now.

Okay since noone shown an off the self solution for spellchecking ts files I have ditched together a small python script:

https://github.com/martonmiklos/unofficial-jolla-translation/blob/master/tools/spellcheck.py

Usage: export POOTLE_LANG=hu; ./tools/fetchts.sh export POOTLE_LANG=hu; export SPELLCHECK_LANG=hu_HU; ./tools/spellcheck.py > errors.txt

Dependencies:

  • python
  • python-enchant
  • python-minidom

I have found many errors and untranslated texts in the Hungarian translation, so I would encourage everyone who is planning making a community localisation official to run this check.

Great stuff, thanks. There were loads of false positives (all words with a hyphen, all proper names and all acronyms were counted as problematic), but there were still several real spelling mistakes in there. Everything in the Dutch translation should hopefully be fixed now.

Yeah I have also seen similar with the Hungarian. Acronyms could be workarounded by adding them to the known words. I will look after the hypenation, but it should be supported by the enchant: https://www.abisource.com/wiki/GSoC_2011_-_Hyphenation#Add_hyphenation_function_in_Enchant

@nthn P.s.: updated RPM on openrepos

@martonmiklos: many thanks, as always! Hopefully the promotion of our languages to official status will come soon, so you don't have to bother with updating all the packages anymore.

Thanks @martonmiklos. I used your tools to add some suggestions in Slovenian. Mostly typos. I did miss hyphen words support though a bit.
