Browser: devPixelsPerPx DPI Setting

Changing the setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx via about:config (e.g. to 2.2) in the Sailfish Browser only applies for the currently running instance. When closing and reopening the browser kicks in the default value of 2.5 again. (Websites are bigger again, 2.5 value in about:config again)
I've looked already in ~/.mozilla/mozembed/prefs.js and it seems everything is right, the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx 2.2 settings value can be found.
Looks like the browser isn't parsing this value while starting.
Is this behavior a bug? How can this be fixed?
