How to disable notification for individual android app (OsmAnd)?

Using the android application OsmAnd for offline navigation today, I realized that this app now sends turning instructions (e.g. "turn right in 73m") as notifications to the android system and SailfishOS displays those at the top of the screen. See screenshot:
This is not very useful, since turning instructions are already displayed in the upper left corner of the screen. It is even worse, since the notification covers other useful information like distance to destination or the name of the road I am driving on.
So I would like to disable those notifications. But I could not find an appropriate option in OsmAnd nor in SailfishOS. I would like to keep notifications from android chat programs enabled.
Does anybody know a solution for this problem?
I use OsmAnd version 2.7.5 on SailfishOS 2.1.2.3. I am using Jolla and OsmAnd since almost 3 years up to now, but this issue seems to be introduced in one of the last versions of OsmAnd or SailfishOS.

[edit : Notifications are always present with 3.0.3 and make the software difficult to use when driving a car :-( ]
