It would be nice that you could customize snooze time! Just like every: - 3min - 5min (like it is now) - 10min
Or maybe you could decide yourself the snooze time between every 1-10min? :) And the alarm sound so it would be optional to have louder and louder and louder over time!

You can change the default snooze time at command line with "timedclient-qt5 --set-snooze=< secs >".
Edited: I just tested this again, where it originally stated < secs > ~ the adjustment is in increments of minutes, not seconds, I have just tested this to be sure and set as < 5 > ~ and the alarm sounded 5 minutes later.
Edited back to < secs > after tests with 1.1.7 (see my comment from 6.9.2015):
Check the set value with timedclient-qt5 --get-snooze.
@Markkyboy: Please check again and correct your edit.
I have used seconds when changing my snooze time.
And running timedclient-qt5 --help shows also the following 2 options:
--set-snooze=<secs> -- Set default snooze value
--get-snooze -- Query default snooze value
And if I run timedclient-qt5 --get-snooze the result is in seconds.
How odd, definitely using minutes on my settings. As I said, I tested it, the alarm sounded 5 minutes later. I didn't just edit your post for the fun of it.

Jolla snooze default has been 5min (300s) and mine is 10min (600s). Values lower than 30 will not be accepted by timedclient-qt5 also it prints default snooze set to X. So please recheck the set value with --get-snooze.
Here is a log of some tests starting with the reading of my snooze default 600s=10min:

I made a simple app called Snooze Adjuster which enables customizing snooze time without need to use command line. The app uses the method of axaq's answer. The app can be found from Jolla store or here.
A very useful app!, thanks!, a suggestion:- How about bringing the slider down under the "Current interval.." text and the 'Set' control under that, then in the new space above, add the current time, sometimes it's nice to adjust the snooze minutes to suit.

Current snooze time is 5min. And I would also like to have a longer and per alarm adjustable snooze time.

Advanced clock/alarm is something that could and should be solved by 3rd party alarm clock apps. Whether default one is better to be 5 or 10 min is another story.
