I was notified about a new version of Sailfish OS. Attached to WLAN I started downloading the update. The progress bar halted after maybe 10%. Leaving that screen of the system preferences and coming back let the download stop with out warning.

Anybody experienced similar problems? What can I do?

I was experiencing the same on my Aquafish. If you haven't tried it yet, go to a terminal and type:

devel-su

(type your password)

pkcon refresh

It worked for me.
