As the title suggests. Just installed the update and it doesn't start on my Jolla 1. Uninstalled and installed again. Same behavior.

I confirm. Do not upgrade. In case you did, uninstall then reinstall

sailfish-maps-1.1.27-10.42.2.jolla.armv7hl.rpm

Maybe a stupid question, but where can I find this app ? (I use the xperia X), it's not in the Jolla store, there I can find Maeps and Jkartta map browser. On openrepos I can find Poor maps, but not sailfish-maps.....

Two things:

It's looking for a theme in /usr/share/themes/jolla-ambient/meegotouch/z1.0 which isn't there (this appears to be non-fatal, a symlink to /usr/share/themes/jolla/meegotouch/z1.0 makes this go away)

It segfaults after printing these messages:

[D] unknown:0 - Using Wayland-EGL

[W] unknown:0 - Could not create DB dir.

[W] unknown:158 - file:///usr/share/sailfish-maps/main.qml:158:13: Cannot assign to non-existent property "isTransient"

isTransient: true

^

Segmentation fault

editing /usr/share/sailfish-maps/main.qml and removing the isTransient line in the notification component allows me to start maps, it seems to work.

Great from the Sailfish OS developers to make the users fix bugs in their own native apps. Anyway, how do I get the right permissions to do this? I seem to have R, but no W.

Developer mode, set a password for remote access (you can un-set it when you are done), then devel-su: http://forum.jollausers.com/sailfish-news/devel-su-password/

Yes, I access the file using CyperDuck, but after editing the file it does not save, due to permission rights.

Change the permissions of the file with

chown nemo: /usr/share/sailfish-maps/main.qml

after using devel-su. Edit it. Test. Then change the ownersip back to root: with

chown root: /usr/share/sailfish-maps/main.qml

When I updated Maps I couldn't start on SFOS 2.1.2.3. After update SFOS to latest version - maps working.

Probably because it depends on a newer QML version whch is't in 2.1.2.3

What version did you update SFOS to?

fledermaus ( 2017-11-02 20:32:36 +0300 )edit

@fledermaus To the latest: 2.1.3.7

mastal ( 2017-11-02 21:40:46 +0300 )edit

2.1.3.7 and latest maps works on My Jolla1

GD ( 2017-11-03 01:50:52 +0300 )edit

I don't have 2.1.3.7 yet, guess it's not rolled out in all regions.

fledermaus ( 2017-11-03 13:08:34 +0300 )edit

@fledermaus: 2.1.3.7 is for early access. If you are not in program then you wait till official release.
