There are several applications which are supported on linux like using a rpi device as alexa device and pi-hole. If we can use a sailfish device(aqua fish) for these purposes it would be great. Its just that you have a great linux in your palm but you cant just utilize its potential fully.

Is there anyone who used any sailfish devices for other purposes than a mobile ?

pi-hole should work, it seems like its mostly shell scripts and a bit of python.

I am not not sure of what you want to do, I have always considered my Sailfish devices as full blown linux system.

Any linux-compatible software should works, but keep in mind you need an ARMv7 binary (or scripts with an ARMv7 interpreter), and as such for all the dependencies (which may be the bottleneck). Alexa should probably work on Sailfish (maybe with some work to adapt the installation procedure, aand we can never be sure with proprietary software), and Pi-hole also (same remark for the installation procedure).

The best would be to try and to publish a report here.
