(only) since I updated the Xperia X to 2.1.3.7 I have a lot of noise (like a badly tunes FM receiver) when listenting to music via headphone. Speaker sound is fine. I used both, the native media player and allradio. Before updating to 2.1.3.7 sound with sailfish X was fine. It is also fine with the Jolla C which is not yet updated to 2.1.3.7

The earphones I was using are Ultimate Ears (UE) UE 900 and UE TF10

I know that there are reports on noisy earphone sound previously. However, so far none of my devices (Jolla 1, Jolla C, tablet and Xperia prior to updating) was affected yet.

i also have this problem using same device and os version. i notice its very apparent at low volume and almost sounds like its cutting out as well as big distortion. It effects both the native applications and android ones such as deezer. cheers.

I don't have this issue in my Xperia X, my earphones works fine for me. However, when I unlock my phone the sound is very loud, the volume on other system sounds is correct.

The sound in Jolla Tablet is very loud since I update to 2.1.3.7. I can't use my earphones because volume level is loud and I can't lower it: https://together.jolla.com/question/172044/bugtablet-distracting-loud-system-tones/

I just have this problem, the cutting abnormal sound come from the earpiece (sony logo above), then I try to dial, the sound is very low, and finally no more sound...reboot to fix

Yes, I have the same problem. It's especially noticeable at the start and end of songs, and when the music is silent or very staccato. Not sure if it's a problem with audio settings or a lower-level problem with power saving states or something along those lines. I hope somebody at Jolla could look into this rather soonish. It's not a subtle issue. I tested the device briefly in Android before I flashed it, and audio didn't have that problem.

me too. I hear that noise too, checked with several headsets and in-ears. IMO that noise sounds like cpu-caused or quantization noise.

Its terrible in Android Apps, Quasar Sailfish App, And Jolla Built In Media App, i am using $400 Bose headphones and it sounds like my SDCard Music i am playing from the Device is streamed through a few phone copper lines, a couple times wrapped around the planet and spat out into a speaker you find on a Tamagotchi Toy (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamagotchi). The same file sounds perfect on my MacBook Pro in iTunes.

When I use the JVC Bluetooth headset with k2 technology, I need to turn it to half the volume to not hear the noise. I can't stand this volume for too long. It's really bad.
