Although I have no issue in accessing my Xperia from my laptop with SSH by wifi (both 2.4 and 5MHz ranges) with Linux terminal ssh command (after having added PermitRootLogin yes in sshd_config), Filezilla works only through 2.4GHz wifi, never with 5GHz wifi. No idea if this is a Linux/Filezilla issue or a SailfishX issue. Any hint?

EDIT: not a Filezilla issue, as Firefox FireFTP plugin has exactly same behavior.

Hi.

How can you tell whether you are connected to a 2.4 or 5 GHz network?

Regards.

@Pasko Simple. My router broadcasts two distinct SSID's, one for 2.4GHz, one for 5GHz.

Hi.

Maybe your phone is always connected to your 2.4 GHz network.

Can you erase the 2.4 GHz SSID from your phone settings, connect to your 5 GHz SSID and try with ssh again?

Regards.

I could try that indeed. I doubt it will help, as

(i) I can see the phone in the router web interface, making it easy to check which SSID it's actually connected to.

(ii) Both networks (2.4 & 5 GHz) work fine for all protocols, except SFTP with 5 GHz.

If you insist, I will follow your suggestion anyway.

Hi.

No need to try if you certainly know you're connected to one SSID or the other.

I have no further ideas though.

Regards.
