Tablet: Can't update Maps [released]

On my tablet (2.1.3.7), Jolla Store notifies me that a new version of Maps is available:

  • Version: 1.1.28
  • Installed: 1.1.27

I open the store, go to 'my apps', let it update all ... watch the spinning wheel... watch it a little longer (it really takes its time)... and then everything fails with something like (translated from German) "Problem with Store! Application is already up to date"

No, it's not.

There's probably some workaround and I even guess the update isn't worth the hassle as not a single bit of code changed. I guess it's just the usual routine after an OS update. Still, something must have gone wrong, right?

Yep same here. I also checked the available version with pkcon and the Jolla Store just provides v. 1.1.27 on the Jolla Tablet.

I don't have this issue, but I've found this: https://framasphere.org/posts/50651880a1d60135d1b52a0000053625

@carmenfdezb Thanks but it seems this is about a different issue. I cannot install the updated version. The post you linked to is about the issue when you cannot start the successfully installed app. I'll come back to it once the installation completed. ;)

Feels that Maps app is being phased out by Jolla... Everyone says that newest version made the app not to work anymore. My Jolla1 says that there is v1.1.28 available and my current version is 1.1.26, but I won't update for the time being since everybody says app just ceases to function. Is it an update from Jolla or are they just bringing the whole app to an end by maybe removing some parts first because of some copyright things? I'm a bit guessing here, but so it feels..
