How to get in touch with Jolla? [answered]

I'm an investor and entrepreneur and started the evaluation of the appropriate plattform for a planned product. SailfishOS seems to me very interesting because of a cutting edge user experiance and respect of the user's privacy. Other platform I evaluate are Android and Plasma Mobile. The last one seems to be in a very early stage and disqualified for business. I even couldn't make it running on the listed reference device.

The first concact with Jolla has been promising but the response of my question followed with a huge delay. Now, I lost the contact after my callback. Has someone an idea, how to contact Jolla? The homepage has no phone number. If the product wouldn't be so awesome I would stop my effords and would go ahead with Android for prototyping.

Maybe Jolla has changed their business strategy and tries to sell SailfishOS directly. I'm asfraid. that Sailfish X is perfect for postential partners, developers, journalists and some early adopters with tecnnical education, but as an after makret product not scalable. Maybe Jolla only speaks with the large device brands and not with entrepreneurs. I would understand it but also regret it. Somehow, Jolla reminds me of the strategy of Cyanogen Inc. Hopefully the company will not end the same way. Has someone indisghts into the strategy of Jolla?

They have offices in both Helsinki (address Fredrikinkatu 42) and Tampere (address Kalevantie 2) where you could drop by easily.

Telephone to the switchboard seems to be +358 20 735 3555

well first of i would stop calling myself entrepreneur ;) Nowadays its just a buzzword every school dropout likes to tell instead of beeing unemployed - nothing different then the waitress in LA who when she's at a party tells she's an actress. I for myself don't take anyone serious who gives himself that title.

But guess thats not what you asked - so juicemes answer probably will do better.

about plasma mobile - you should try the purism forum - and also we got some kde developers running around here. Also in my opinion currently jolla is not qualified for use as a business phone. In fact i wrote about my experience in that field here and am still using a second (android) phone for that case.

@juiceme Thanks, that was the answer I looked for. I will try to call Jolla on Monday or Wednesday. I would also appreciate to meet a representative of Jolla in person, but I would schedule a meeting first, before I fly to FInnland.

@katux: How would you call a person, who did found serveral companies with employees, customers and profit? It's an entrepreneur, isn't it? Investors, empleyees, freelancers and entrepreneurs, which have found or bought shares of companies, are all players of the game.

Some entrepreneur you are :P ( can't even find a phone number, perhaps you should consider employing a secretary?)

Quote;

"The home page has no phone number"

I found it directly off the home page of jolla.com under Partners;

https://sailfishos.org/partners/

Quote;

"Contact us to hear more! We are always excited to establish new Sailfish partnerships and show the world that independent mobile solutions can thrive. Contact our team to discuss more! Sammy Loitto VP, Sales and Business Development Tel. +358 40 833 5277 partners@jolla.com"

Also found from the same main page;

"Partner Contacts If you are an ODM, OEM, operator, or an eCommerce, online content etc. provider you should contact us at: partners@sailfishos.org."

@Joshua Sommers of TimanLLC;

together.jolla.com is a community based website. Jolla does not communicate directly through this forum, this is simply not the place for the kind of attention and information you require.

Your note is not correct. There is nocontact person and phone number listet on Jolla.com. You are referencing SailfishOS.org. If you select "contact" at Jolla.com, you can only find two email addresses and locations. but no contact persons and phone numbers. Unfortunately, you get only an autoreply, if you use the listed email addresses.

I know, that this is a community forum. But I'm pretty sure, that there are further community members, which share my interest in making business with Jolla or at least with SailfishOS. For example, I answered another post about paid apps in Jolla Harbour, which has either a business motivation.

Let's make SailfishOS to a successfull alternative of iOS and Android - together. Jolla can't do this allone. Therefore it worth to discuss the experience, that it is really hard to evaluate a partnership with Jolla.

I was happy to get immediate response from juiceme, but I don't really understand the aggressive responce from kaktux and you.

Nothing aggressive here, just a way of making contact. :) Seriously, we are all trying to help, each of us in his or her own genuine way.

Aggressive?, no, just being succinct. Cool, crack on then with the number provided by juiceme, but I did find it laughable about being all entrepreneurial but can't make contact with a company in this day and age of information technology...wassup?, not used to people taking the piss?, it's the English way!.

SailfishOS is a product of Jolla, it's all the same thing, no? Good luck getting them to take an interest!
