xperia stuck shutting down

I rebooted an xperia (with sailfish x) a number of time to see if it would better accept my sdcard with different filesystems (now I realize I was hit by this bug) and at one point the phone got stuck shutting down. The red led has been on for more than 2 hours now. Pluging in the usb or pressing the power button (even for very long) doesn't do anything. Anyone experienced this so far? Any suggestion besides cracking the case open to disconnect the battery or waiting an unknown amount of time (weeks?) that it drains?

Which applications did you run before shutting down? I, for one have got the same problem after having used QuasarMX.

AFAIR, I only had the settings app running and I had not been using anything else.

Pressing volume up + power key simultaneously and holding them down for few secs -> should do reboot via hw reset.

Thanks forthe tip. I had no chance to try it though: the battery had drained overnight! Next time...

Worked on my Xperia! Thank you!

After phone froze when I was trying this script for several times, spiiroin's idea didn't work for me, but it gave me the idea to press all the buttons for fiew seconds. I pressed first camera, then both volumes and at the end the power button, and that moment the phone made hw reset.
