Well simply there is no instructions for open repos's f2fs tools..

I want to format (in my xperia x) sdcard f2fs filesystem. I don't have linux pc so thats why I need to format in phone itself.

After formatting, how I mount it for sailfish x?

I need to use terminal right? "Mkfs. f2fs something..

Or is it even possible to do that currently, because these open repos tools are outdated software...

Sorry for a lot of questions, I'm rookie.

wy you want f2fs then? it's not that cool. you don't see any difference with ext4, only performance decreasing over time...

You should be asking the creator of the app for help directly, nothing to do with Jolla, despite the answer from marsch.

Well, I tried first format sdcard ext4 and some reason it didnt work at all.. Anyway f2fs is faster and better for flash drives so I don't understand. Am I miss something?

Will f2fs really slowdown over time?

Edz: you are right, I just thinked this way i get answer quicker :P

First check the device name of your SD card with mount, it should appear at the end; if its a pristine FAT-formatted card it is most probably /dev/mmcblk1p1.

Assuming you don't head for any complex formatting, you want to use this single partition. Unmount it with umount /dev/mmcblk1p1 and format it afterwards: mkfs.f2fs /dev/mmcblk1p1.

You can either remount it manually or just restart the phone. Then cd /media/sdcard/ and chown -R nemo:nemo .

Hey,

marsch thank you so much for help! I succeed to format my sdcard.

Btw why there is no complete instructions for these f2fs tools?

Because the package is not an app and Unix requires you to acquire knowledge on your own account. But you're welcome.

Okay, I got now more knowledge.
