Sailfish X Swipe left to right issue

Is only on my Xperia ? But any gesture from left to right is really a problem, and usually doesn't work. Instead, it is 90% of the time interpreted as a top-bottom swipe. Gesture from right to left is ok.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue ?

Thanks for your help, it is really confusing.

Chap

I don't see this extreme misinterpretation of gestures, but I think the X does have a problem in this area in general.

On my device for example, gestures that are supposed to be interpreted as "outside the app" (swipe from the outer edge to show home screen) are very often (too often) interpreted as gestures within the app (swipe to next page, e.g. in the conversations app swipe from the conversation to the contact details).

I've had very rare occasions when a left-to-right swipe (I wanted to see the notifications area) was interpreted as a bottom-to-top swipe and brought up the app drawer. My thumb probably doesn't draw accurate lines... They were accurate enough for other Sailfish devices, though. :)

I occasionally get my top-to-bottom swipes (i.e opening the application list) interpreted as left-to-right swipes (i.e opening the notification view) when I do them with my right thumb. Happens most often when I'm tired like after a long day of work so it's probably caused by me swiping slightly diagonally and triggering a horizontal swipe when I'm actually trying to trigger a vertical one. This is very annoying as it can happen repeatedly (taken to just using my left index finger instead a couple of times) and usually happens are you're in a more easily irritable mood than usual.

Would be nice if they could adjust it so that the horizontal swipes are less sensitive, the vertical ones are more sensitive or at least give us the option of adjusting the swipe gesture sensitivity on the X and Y axis.

yup must be sensitive to slight diagonal swipes i believe, from an engineering perspective a diagonal swipe say Alpha<= 30deg should still i interpreted as a left to rught swipe not Bottom to Top swipe as often occurs for me in the Securefishnet or other SFOS apps that have a bottom pulley menue.

And just to add this should be true within or outside the app, and regardless of whether it started at the edge or not.
