When adding a new activesync account, only select contacts & calendar to sync. Nothing syncs until you check the mail sync on also.

Reproduced this with 1.0.2.5, outlook.com activesync(m.hotmail.com)

When you check the mailsync on and pull a refresh request in the mail client, everything syncs ok.

When you turn off the mail sync and leave contacts + calendar sync on, after some time and refresesh contacts are gone again until you check the mail sync on again.

Hi,

"When you turn off the mail sync and leave contacts + calendar sync on, after some time and refresesh contacts are gone again until you check the mail sync on again."

Does this mean contacts existent on the server side disappear after turning mail sync ? Or you mean new contacts created on the device don't get synced ?

The contacts synced before dissappear from the device when mail-sync is turned off, even though they are still on the server. They dont dissapear right away, but after some syncing and using.

@slate A great finding - however, your title is quite close to an older discussion here: https://together.jolla.com/question/5910/how-to-specify-the-interval-of-contactcalendar-data-auto-sync-or-manually-trigger-it/#17331, so I'm just asking if your good question could be merged with that, moving the info of your finding to there?

@slate - Can you still reproduce this ? Make sure you have some automatic sync enabled, otherwise sync for this items will not happen.
