SailfishX will not boot with SD Card inserted

I just bought a 256GB SD Card and wanted to format it via the OS. SailfishX would not boot, just stays on the Sony screen.

hmm yes, have not tried that. Could be that it tries to boot from the SD card. If so, then it actually is a wonderful thing; one can easily boot different versions of OS or different OS'es from the card...

If sdcard is not ok, no boot. I experieced the same with card from jollaC . more explanations and corrective steps on thead below, and please next time use search... :)
