I have had a problem for few weeks now where Sony Xperia X says that everything is ok; - full network signal, so calling and sms should be ok - mobile data on and mobile data should be ok

However nothing is ok. Somebody tries to call me and they get message that phone is out of coverage. SMSes don't come. All the mobile data is down, no internet, no nothing. Still the phone says that it is connected to operator and everything is fine!!!

Has others had this problem or is it just me? This is such a critical bug, that if it continues long, it's going to render phone useless. Unreliable it is already.

Unfortunately I don't know how to repeat the problem. It repeats itself maybe once a week, maybe twice a week. Apps that I have often on are: caller app, sms app, Signal, Whatsapp, Email, native browser

Crap... I could have tried the last time what happens if I try to call or sms, but didn't come to think of it... I'll update when the next blackout happens.

Can you please provide some additional information? Are you using the F5121 or F5122 (dual SIM) model? Similar issues have been reported by users of the F5122 (as well as the Jolla C / AquaFish) which seem to be caused by the dual SIM setup. Also, are you experiencing this issue in your home network (There are reports of lost mobile connectivity when roaming)? Have you checked the APN settings and tried switching your mobile data to 3G?

It has been discussed here: https://together.jolla.com/question/170394/xperia-x-loss-of-mobile-network/

@lumen: If the cellular functionality is always broken on your Xperia, then something must have gone wrong when preparing the device for Sailfish or when installing it. Perhaps you should revert your Xperia back to Android, check that it works correctly there, and then install Sailfish again. File a ticket, please.

I am using F5121 (single SIM, the version that Jolla recommends). I am using in my home network, not roaming. I can try with 3G, but in my humble opinion that shouldn't change anything, if I buy 4G phone , it needs to work at 4G also.

The mobile connection comes back alive when I boot the phone again. I thought that this was self explanatory, when I said that this happens often (sorry about not being clear enough).

Thanks all for good comments!
