Hi All,

Recently I've added translations support to Quickddit. Within a very short timespan I already received Dutch, Swedish and Greek translation contributions (thanks!).

If there's anyone else interested in contributing additional languages, or as a translator for an existing translation, please make a language request at Transifex:

https://www.transifex.com/outright-solutions/quickddit/dashboard/

I'm planning to make a new release next week, hopefully with as many translations as possible :)

That is probably because you have forgotten about the plurals. Two buttons to the right above translation field, called "1" and "other". Save button will be enabled when both are translated.

i was wondering what the two buttons do. yup never worked with the new ui

Thanks!

Thanks for the update, it's so nice to finally use Quickddit in French. Big up to my mate Jean-Luc, who has done the most part.

BTW, I already adjusted some strings in a proper way after checking them on the translated app. Are you planning to update the translated files each time you'll update the app ? If so, that's OK. We're not in a hurry.

Cheers, accumulator, and many thanks for that wonderful Reddit client.

You're welcome :) And thank you both for providing the french translation, I'm really surprised with the number of completed languages submitted within such a short timespan.

I will update the languages every release, it's just a matter of running a script before building the RPMs, so you can shave and polish at your leisure :)

Jean-Luc here (I don't know why transifex gave you Jean-Luc instead of lunatix, but anyway, that's my firtname...). Thank you lutinotmalin for you help and your revisions, always good to have different point of views.

I was really happy to help translating this great app. It is a really good app with a very nice UI, user friendly. As I don't know anything about coding, the only contribution I can do is translating. I hope it is OK for a first release. Keep up the good work accumulator!

Hello i was so naive to think to provide the language files would be sufficient to make my app (sailkick) localised. i can se the qm files on my phone, but the app wont run translated can you give me some hints what else is needed ?

is it sufficient to modify .pro file or do i also need to modify main.cpp ? every app seems to handle it differently and i do not see what is really needed and what not. a minimum invasive method would be appreciated ;-)# Thanks ! Jan

From your github repo I can see you have started from Sailfish template. You have to add ts-files under translations folder and add the file name in .pro file. That should be sufficient. In your repo German translation seems to be by default. You can demo with that by editing file by adding some translation substituting unfinished lines. That should be enough

See what you have to do to use internationalisation_and_Localisation

@Rikujolla, ok that s what i did. hmm strnge, newd to recheck

Try adding the "language" attribute in the TS node.

Sthocs ( 2018-01-22 11:37:14 +0300 )edit

@rgnetalk i know the page and i did not add these lines, cause the ts files are updated without these.lines too. also the qm files are generated without these line. they are also deployed, only the result.is ... no translated..
